Former Bloom-Carroll athletics director sentenced to prison for engaging in sexual conduct with student

According to records, Little engaged in sexual conduct with a student at a school in the district sometime between March 1, 2018 and Sept. 20, 2020.

FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Ohio — The former athletics director for Bloom-Carroll Local Schools was sentenced to 4.5 years in prison for engaging in sexual conduct with a student.

Chad Little was given the sentence Thursday in Fairfield County Common Pleas Court. He will also have to register as a sex offender for the rest of his life.

The sentence from the court came from a joint recommendation from the prosecution and defense after Little changed his plea to guilty in January.

Little was arrested in September 2022 and indicted on four counts of sexual battery, all being third-degree felonies. He initially pleaded not guilty to all counts.

According to the criminal complaint, Little engaged in sexual conduct with a student at a school in the district sometime between March 1, 2018 and Sept. 20, 2020.

Following his indictment, Little was immediately placed on leave with no pay. In November, Little officially resigned from the position with the district.
