FRANKLIN COUNTY, Ohio — Authorities are searching for a suspect who stole a Prairie Township firefighter's pickup truck from a firehouse early Tuesday morning.
According to the Franklin County Sheriff's Office, the firefighter told deputies that his personal vehicle was stolen around 3:20 a.m. from the firehouse located at 123 Inah Ave., south of West Broad Street.
Surveillance video shows a white vehicle parking across the street and a man walking to the parking lot of the firehouse. The man was wearing a facemask, a green long-sleeve shirt, red pants and red shoes.
The video appears to show the man trying to open and look through the windows of at least three vehicles.
The man was able to get into a truck. The video shows him striking a parked truck before driving away in an unknown direction.
The sheriff's office did not provide a description of the stolen truck.
