COLUMBUS, Ohio — One person was killed in a shooting on the Near East Side of Columbus Tuesday morning.
The Columbus Division of Police said the shooting happened in the 1600 block of Oak Street near Franklin Park just before 9 a.m.
Police told 10TV that a person was walking on Oak Street when he noticed an open door to a home. The person took a closer look, found 30-year-old Clayden McNeil unresponsive in the doorway and called the police.
Officers arrived shortly after the call. McNeil was pronounced dead at 9:05 a.m. Police said he died of an apparent gunshot wound.
No other information was immediately available.
