A 15-year-old boy is dead after a shooting in north Columbus Wednesday night.
The shooting took place on Laurelwood Drive just off Cleveland Avenue around 7:30 p.m.
Columbus Police say they found 15-year-old Aboubakary Diawara lying in the yard of an apartment complex.
Officers say someone pulled out a gun during a confrontation and fired shots. Diawara was hit by the gunfire and pronounced dead at the scene.
Family members say Diawara was a sophomore in high school.
Homicide detectives do not have a suspect.
This is the second fatal shooting that police were investigating in north Columbus on Wednesday.
