COLUMBUS, Ohio — Police are searching for a suspect following a robbery at a bank in the Reynoldsburg area on July 3.

According to Columbus police, a man entered the Chase Bank located in the 2000 block of Brice Road just before 6 p.m. The suspect then demanded money from bank employees and threatened to blow up the bank.

Police say after the suspect failed to get money from the locked teller area, the suspect robbed a vendor inside the bank after firing a gunshot into the ground.

The suspect left through the front door and was last seen driving a gray/silver Honda Civic or similar-looking vehicle.

Police described the suspect as a black male, 6’ to 6’3” tall, 150-180 lbs. and 25-30 years old. The suspect was seen with a black handgun and was wearing a black T-shirt, a black ballcap, burgundy-colored pants and black tennis shoes.
