A 71-year-old man has been apprehended 22 years after he escaped from an Ohio prison.

Roger Perdue was picked up in Kokomo, Indiana on December 12.

According to the Ohio Highway Patrol, officers were tipped off that Perdue and his wife were living in Kokomo.

Perdue escaped in March of 1992 from the London Correctional Institution.

He was five months into a 5 1/2 year sentence for grand theft.

Troopers say Perdue was using a fake identity when he was tracked down.

Perdue is now being held pending extradition back to Ohio.
