Columbus Police are searching for five suspects after finding a man shot in a west Columbus alley.
It happened around 1:15 a.m. behind a bar near Sullivant and Hawks Avenues.
A homeowner found 42-year-old Javon Perry suffering from a gunshot wound to the upper thigh.
Police believe some sort of confrontation led to the shooting.
Officers say several shots were fired. Two gunshots hit a home, and another hit a nearby truck.
“Something that woke me up, it was five shots. Five shots is what is sounded like, and I was like ‘oh my god something happened,’” said an area resident.
Authorities think the suspects got away in a Silver Honda Odyssey.
The victim was alert and oriented when medics arrived and was transported to an area hospital. His condition is unknown.
