Investigators Search For 'Bad Beard Bandit' After Worthington Bank Robbery

Investigators searched for a man with a fake beard who robbed a central Ohio bank on Tuesday.

According to the FBI, the man entered the Columbus First Bank, located at 6877 N. High St., at about 12:35 p.m.

The man, who was wearing a fake beard, met an employee in the outer lobby of the bank. He then forced the employee back inside the bank and demanded money.

After receiving an unknown amount of cash, the man ran from the bank.

The man was described as white, 5-feet-9-inches to 5-feet-11-inches tall and between 40 and 50-years-old. He was wearing a tan cap, sports jacket, dark pants, gloves and sunglasses.

Witnesses said that the man was wearing a long, fake black beard to conceal his identity.
