Police in Portsmouth have arrested a convicted sexual offender after he failed to register.
officers found 24-year-old Benjamin Mitchell at an apartment along Union Street in Portsmouth Wednesday afternoon.
He was arrested and taken to the Scioto County Correction Center.
Mitchell will face a judge in Portsmouth Municipal Court Thursday morning.
He has been charged with Failure to Register.
Mitchell will also appear in Scioto County Common Pleas Court for a probation violation.
