The man accused of starting a warehouse fire on Fisher Road in west Columbus on December 14 has been indicted by the Franklin County Grand Jury.

Robin Toms, 30, has been indicted for one count of aggravated arson, arson, vandalism and one count of breaking and entering. All charges are felonies.

Franklin County Prosecutor Ron O’Brien said the fire at the SJT Depot warehouse destroyed about 80 percent of the building.

“Fortunately no one was injured, however the destruction put dozens of people out of work, forced two schools to be closed for the day, required between 50-100 firefighters to fight the blaze, and the total losses are expected to be in the millions,” O’Brien said.

Toms is set to return to court on December 28.

O’Brien says if convicted Toms faces a potential sentence of 11 years in prison.
