A Columbus police officer is being accused of leading other officers on a chase in southern Ohio. The veteran officer is now also charged with drinking and driving.
Officer Larry Brown, Jr. was arrested by Coal Grove police Friday afternoon.
WSAZ-TV reports that Brown was captured after a chase. Officers originally tried to stop his truck on U.S. 52.
He allegedly had a .207 blood alcohol level.
Columbus police tell 10TV that Officer Brown has been placed on administrative leave. He will not have contact with the public during the investigation.
Brown works in the Property Crimes Bureau of CPD.
