The Columbus Division of Police vice section is going after "Johns" in an effort to reduce prostitution.
The "End Demand" campaign shifts officers' focus from female suspects to the customers that hire them.
In a recent 30-day period, vice officers dedicated all of their time to ending prostitution demand.
The effort led to 71 arrests of "Johns" as well as three drug trafficking arrests and a recovered firearm.
While the 30-day effort was in conjunction with a national program, Columbus police said they will continue the shift in focus in an effort to reduce prostitution and human trafficking.
