Federal authorities and Columbus Police worked together to track down suspects wanted on drug and gun charges.
The arrests were made Tuesday morning in what police called "Operation Get Shorty." They came after a year-long investigation.
In a news conference, authorities said 21 arrests came out of a 78 count indictment. One other person was charged in a separate eight count indictment.
All of the defendants will be charged with conspiring to distribute drugs including cocaine, oxycodone, crack and marijuana.
Police says the suspects are part of a gang known as the Short North Posse.
