COLUMBUS, Ohio — One of the four people who were shot in the King-Lincoln Bronzeville neighborhood last month is charged in connection with the incident.
On Oct. 18, four people, two of whom were juveniles, were shot in the 200 block of Winner Avenue. The shooting victims were taken to a hospital to be treated for their wounds.
Columbus police identified the suspect as 34-year-old Darius Edwards, who is charged with five counts of felonious assault.
Court records state that while at the hospital, detectives reviewed video and saw one of the shooting victims, 27-year-old Natrell Cunningham, returning fire.
During an interview, police wrote in the affidavit that Cunningham admitted to detectives that he possessed and fired a handgun during the incident. Police charged him with weapons under disability.
Court records state that Cunningham was indicted in Franklin County Court of Common Pleas for possession of drugs.
