COLUMBUS, Ohio — A convicted sex offender from Columbus was indicted Tuesday on charges involving child sexual abuse material.

The Franklin County Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force and Columbus Police Exploited Unit executed a search warrant at the residence of 35-year-old Nicholas Anderson earlier this month.

The Columbus Division of Police say Anderson was living in the 300 block of South Grener Avenue, which is less than a quarter mile away from Stiles Elementary School on the city's west side.

According to police, Anderson possessed and shared multiple videos and images showing young children being sexually assaulted.

Anderson was arrested and charged with pandering sexual matters involving a minor and failure to provide a change of address.

He was indicted Tuesday on nine counts of pandering sexually-oriented matter involving a minor in the second degree, and 12 counts of the same charge in the fourth degree. He was also indicted for failure to register.

Police say Anderson is also wanted for failing to register in the state of Washington. Franklin County Municipal Court documents say Anderson was convicted in Washington in 2008 for sexual exploitation of a minor, dealing in depictions of a minor engaged in sexually explicit conduct.
