COLUMBUS, Ohio — The Columbus Division of Police issued a warrant for a 19-year-old suspect accused of shooting and killing a man after a fight broke out at a Waffle House near Ohio State Monday morning.
Detectives said a fight started inside the restaurant located at 1712 N. High St. around 2:30 a.m. The fight continued outside and a shot was fired, striking 38-year-old Ronald Diggs.
Records from Franklin County Municipal Court state that the gunman, identified as Jaquan Curry, allegedly pulled out a handgun and shot Diggs in the chest.
Diggs was taken to The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center where he was pronounced dead at 3:06 a.m.
Police said two other people were injured during the fight and treated at a nearby hospital.
Curry is charged with murder. His whereabouts are not known at this time.
