COLUMBUS, Ohio — One person is in serious condition after a reported shooting in the Hilltop neighborhood on Thursday, police said.
Officers with the Columbus Division of Police were called to South Ogden Avenue near Sullivant Avenue after receiving a report of the shooting at 5:05 a.m.
A spokesperson with the police department said officers were in the area on a previous run when they heard several gunshots.
When officers arrived at South Ogden and Sullivant avenues, they found the victim who had been shot while in a vehicle.
Police dispatchers said a shooting victim was taken to Grant Medical Center in serious condition, but they are expected to survive their injuries. Details surrounding the shooting were not immediately available.
Police did not have information on a possible suspect.
