COLUMBUS, Ohio — A 17-year-old boy was arrested and accused of fatally shooting a man near Nationwide Children’s Hospital in January.
In an update Thursday, the Columbus Division of Police said the juvenile was charged with murder in the death of 41-year-old Larry Edward on Jan. 29.
Police said Edwards walked into the hospital with a gunshot wound and told officers he was shot while driving on Parsons Avenue.
Police believed at the time, the shooting happened outside the hospital. As of Thursday, it is still unclear what led to the shooting.
The juvenile is currently being held at the Franklin County Juvenile Detention Center.
