COLUMBUS, Ohio — A Columbus man was sentenced to more than 10 years in prison for narcotics and firearms crimes.
Bernard McMillion, also known as “Philly,” pleaded guilty to conspiring to distribute and possessing with intent to distribute controlled substances, including 40 grams or more of fentanyl and five grams or more of methamphetamine. He also possessed a firearm in furtherance of drug trafficking, according to federal court officials.
Court documents state that from the fall of 2022 through February 2023, McMillion and another person used different homes in the Hilltop neighborhood of Columbus to traffic fentanyl, crack cocaine and methamphetamine.
The houses were on South Terrace, Doren, Columbian, Floral and Springmont avenues and McCarley Drive West.
Federal court officials say McMillon took advantage of people with addiction who were using the defendants’ residences to make drug sales on their behalf.
As part of the investigation, law enforcement officers seized two pistols and a 12-gauge shotgun.
