Police: At least 30 cars broken into at Italian Village apartment complex

Police did not say whether any items were taken from the vehicles, but the windows of several cars were shattered and broken.

COLUMBUS, Ohio — The Columbus Division of Police is investigating after at least 30 vehicles were broken into at an Italian Village apartment complex on Friday. 

Officers were called to Station 324 Apartments on East 2nd Avenue around 3:15 a.m. 

Sgt. Joe Albert said dozens of vehicles were broken into either through car windows or unlocked doors. Police did not say whether any items were taken from the vehicles, but the windows of several cars were shattered and broken.

Albert added that five to six suspects were believed to have left the area in a silver Chrysler 300. No other details were provided.
