COLUMBUS, Ohio — A third suspect was identified in connection with a shooting at an AutoZone store near Polaris last summer where a man was killed while attempting to stop a robbery.
Records from the Delaware County Court of Common Pleas state that 28-year-old Anthony Blakely was charged in the August 2023 incident with one count of aggravated murder and two counts of aggravated robbery —all with three-year firearm specifications.
Blakely was indicted in December in connection with the robbery. The other two suspects, 23-year-old Zackeyis Davis and 28-year-old Darius Wynn, were indicted in October.
Police said on Aug. 24, 2023, Davis, Wynn and Blakely were attempting to rob the AutoZone at 8338 Sancus Blvd. when 43-year-old Alejandro Fajardo-Torres intervened and was shot. An employee was also injured.
Initially, court documents did not name Blakely as a suspect in this robbery. But according to records obtained Wednesday night, Blakely, Davis, Wynn and "other unidentified individuals" took part in multiple robberies from May to September 2023. Some of the targeted locations include restaurants, fast food and two AutoZone stores.
Court records did not detail what roles each suspect played in these robberies.
Davis and Wynn each appeared in court on Wednesday and are being held on $10 million bond and $5 million bond, respectively.
Blakely is scheduled to be arraigned on Jan. 16.
