COLUMBUS, Ohio — Authorities identified the person who was found dead inside an east Columbus apartment on Sunday.
The Columbus Division of Fire was called to Colonial Village Apartments on Allendale Drive around 7:50 p.m. after receiving a report of a fire.
When firefighters arrived, they found a body inside one of the units. They were pronounced dead at 7:56 p.m.
The Franklin County Coroner's Office identified the person as 57-year-old Larhonda Roshelle Tatum.
The Columbus Division of Fire released it's preliminary fire incident report saying that when crews arrived at the scene, they found all of the second floor doors closed and a mattress fire at the second floor bedroom.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
