COLUMBUS, Ohio — A man is charged with murder following a deadly shooting Saturday morning in southeast Columbus.
According to Columbus police, the shooting happened in the 4600 block of Fenimore Court around 2 a.m.
Officers arrived and found 32-year-old Rayn Cannon who had been shot.
Cannon was taken by medics to Mount Carmel East Hospital, where he was pronounced dead just before 3:30 a.m.
Police said a suspect, 21-year-old Bayette Mitchell, turned himself in on Saturday evening, and he is being held at the Franklin County Jail.
Police have not released information about what led to the shooting.
This is the 48th homicide of 2022 in the city of Columbus.
