COLUMBUS, Ohio — The Columbus Metropolitan Library will offer free meals to students at several branches this summer.
The library partnered with Children’s Hunger Alliance to provide meals to students 18 and younger at 17 branches. Service will begin June 3 and run until students return to classes in the fall.
“So many children in our community rely on free or discounted school lunches,” says CML Public Services Director Miya Reyes. “It is absolutely critical that students have access to healthy, nourishing meals over the summer. It not only benefits the body, but the mind.”
