COLUMBUS, Ohio — The City of Columbus Recreation and Parks Department is now looking for volunteers to help the Cap City Festivals a success this year.

The Cap City Festivals take place in neighborhoods across Columbus. These events are free and have food, live music, games and other activities.

The city is looking for 25 volunteers to sign up and help out for each event.

Three festivals remain: Hilltop on July 13, in northeast Columbus on Aug. 3 and in the Far South neighborhood on Aug. 24.

The Recreation and Parks Department says the Cap City Festivals aim to strengthen engagement between families and service providers. They also want to promote healthy community relationships and provide a safe and fun environment for the community.

Volunteers will assist with setting up and tearing down, engaging with attendees and helping lead activities.
