A five-vehicle fatal crash closed U.S. Route 23 north, north of the city of Delaware, on Tuesday morning. According to Ohio State Highway Patrol officials, one person was killed in the crash at U.S. 23 and Hills Miller Road shortly before 10 a.m.
OSP officials said that 18-year-old Justin Thomas Juback of Dexter, Mich., was driving a 2002 Audi southbound on U.S. 23, when he traveled left of center and struck a 2010 Kia headed north driven by 61-year-old Theodore J. Snyder.
Snyder, who was wearing a seatbelt, died at the scene.
People in three other vehicles involved in the crash sustained minor injuries.
Juback, who was treated and released from a local hospital, was charged with vehicular homicide in connection with the crash.
Alcohol is not thought to be a factor in the crash, which remains under investigation.
