Kevin Chapman, an art teacher and swim coach at Upper Arlington High School, was arrested atschool on Monday afternoon -- about 12 years after the alleged assaults occurred, 10TV's AndyHirsch reported.
Authorities charged Chapman, 51, with one count of rape and one count of sexual battery.
According to documents obtained by 10TV News, Chapman (pictured, right) allegedly assaulteda 15-year-old girl several times a week during a year-and-a-half period.
The alleged assaults took place on Upper Arlington High School grounds, Hirsch reported.
Chapman did not speak during his court appearance.
After the hearing, Chapman's attorney said he had concerns about why the now 28-year-old womanbrought the allegations to light, Hirsch reported.
If indicted, the attorney said Chapman would plead not guilty.
Chapman later posted $25,000 bond and was released from custody at about 1 p.m., 10TV Newsreported.
