Former Ohio State quarterback Todd Boeckman has agreed to terms on a contract with theJacksonville Jaguars, 10TV Sports reported Wednesday.
Boeckman signed as a free agent with the club, according to his agent, Neil Cornrich.
"I'm very excited for an opportunity, excited to get a chance," Boeckman told 10TV Sports. "Thecall kind of came out of nowhere. I got here last night and worked out this morning, and before youknow it, I'm part of their team."

Boeckman, an All-Big Ten quarterback in 2007, lost his starting job to Terrelle Pryor lastseason after the team's loss at Southern California.
The St. Henry, Ohio, native, was not selected in April's NFL draft but was offered a tryout withthe Cincinnati Bengals. Boeckman did not sign with the Bengals.
Jacksonville's top two quarterbacks on the depth chart are expected to be David Garrard and ToddBouman. The team recently parted ways with 2008 backup Cleo Lemon.
