Friends and family members of a missing Ohio State University medical student said on Saturdaythat they were not giving up to find Brian Shaffer.
Shaffer was last seen riding an escalator toward a bar near the Ohio State campus on April 1,2006, 10TV News reported.
Surveillance cameras recorded him going up the escalator to the Ugly Tuna Saloona bar, locatedin the South Campus Gateway, but Shaffer has not been seen since.

Shaffer, a second-year medical student at Ohio State, went to the bar to celebrate the beginningof spring break with several of his friends when he disappeared.
On Saturday, a blood drive was held at the Grandview Heights Kroger.
Organizers said that they were going to continue Randy Shaffer's dedication to find hisson. Randy Shaffer died in 2010.
"Brian could be my brother. He could be your brother," said Lori Davis, an organizer ofthe event. "He was someone's brother and someone's son -- a lot of people's friends -- and Ifeel like it's our obligation to pick up where Randy left off."
Central Ohio Crime Stoppers continues to ask for tips in Shaffer's disappearance. It isoffering a reward of up to $25,000 for information on his whereabouts.
