In 2008, she and her former husband adopted a foster child.  As a thank you, Gatch decidedto buy 10 bikes for the Holiday Wish program at Franklin County Children's Services.

"I sent a few e-mails to a few friends," Gatch said. "Those e-mails were sent on to a few morefriends."

A store manager promised her a free helmet for every bike that she bought.

"It sort of snowballed and took on a life of its own," Gatch said. "And the Bike Ladybegan."
