Arena Grand Theater To Close, Reopen As 'Movie Grill'

The Arena Grand Movie Theatre will soon be closed, renovated and re-launched with a new concept.

Columbus-based Nationwide Realty Investors said the space is being changed into the Studio Movie Grill.

The last day of movies for the current Arena Grand will be on May 27.

The Texas-based operators of Studio Movie Grill will then make renovations and reopen the theater in late summer.

"Our new Arena District location will feature an extensive gourmet menu, a two-story bar and lounge, 100 percent reserved seating, crystal clear Dolby audio and the best in today's Christie projection systems for the highest quality movie viewing experience in the city," said Lynne McQuaker, spokeswoman for Studio Movie Grill.

The company currently operates 13 theaters in Arizona, Georgia, Illinois, North Carolina and Texas.
