Angry Orchard Cider Company issued a voluntary recall for its Crisp Apple Hard Cider.
It is a precautionary action after they have received several inquiries from customers who found broken bottles or bottles overflow when they opened them.
The company found that the defect was limited to two batches.
Angry Orchard says there is no health risk from the hard cider.
To determine whether a bottle of Angry Orchard Crisp Apple Hard Cider has been impacted:
- Look for Freshness Matters code printed on the side of the 12-pack. If the code begins with June 2016 1665C and followed by four digits between 0001 and 0700 or June 2016 1805C followed by 0001 through 0545, those may be effected.
- On an individual bottle, locate the inkjet code on the shoulder of the glass. If that code falls within the ranges of C16650001 through C16650530 or C1805001 through C18050415, that cider may have been impacted.
