A judge set bond on Wednesday at $1 million for a man who allegedly admitted to forcing hundredsof prostitutes to have sex with him.
Edwin "Gene" Zimmerman is accused of raping a Columbus woman and kidnapping another, butauthorities in Franklin and Madison counties have said they have little doubt that there are othervictims.
According to prosecutors, Zimmerman, 46, said he had sex with 800-900 prostitutes in the lastseven years, 10TV’s Maureen Kocot reported.
In a search warrant obtained by 10TV News, Zimmerman told investigators that he has at leastthree personalities, and one of them is violent and uncontrollable. Zimmerman also said that “otherpersonalities” told him to go “pick up women,” Kocot reported.
Zimmerman claimed that “Michael” was the most violent of his personalities, and that he is “unable to control him.”
According to police, Zimmerman’s admissions have caught the attention of detectivesinvestigating the unsolved murders of four prostitutes in Clark County, Kocot reported.
So far investigators have found no evidence linking Zimmerman to the women.
