2 Indicted In Fatal Shooting Of Clark County Deputy

Two people face charges after the fatal New Year's Day shooting of a Clark County Sheriff's deputy.

Two people were indicted on Thursday in connection with a January shooting that left two peopledead, including a Clark County Sheriff's deputy.

Hopper was slain during a Jan. 1 shootout with Michael Ferryman at the Enon BeachCampground, 10TV News reported.

Maria Blessing was indicted on charges of complicity to commit weapons underdisability and obstructing justice.

Blessing was Ferryman's girlfriend, officials said.

Her father, Jean Blessing, 81, also faces charges of complicity to commit weaponsunder disability.

Hopper and German Township Officer Jeremy Blum were investigating reports ofgunfire at the campground when they were shot. Blum survived his injuries.

Ferryman exchanged gunfire with responding officers before he was found dead in thetrailer.  It has not been determined if he took his own life or was killed by police fire.
