2 Arrested In Connection With Walmart Employee Hit-Skip

Police arrested a brother and sister in connection with a hit-skip crash outside a Walmart storethat left an employee critically injured.

Nikolai J. Young, 25, and Elizabeth C. Young, 28, were charged Thursday with aggravatedburglary, 10TV's Danielle Elias reported.

Police said Elizabeth Young entered a Walmart store, located at 3579 S. High St. shortlyafter 11:30 p.m. on Wednesday and ran out of the store with a hard drive valued at $140.

Walmart employee Dustin Carrel was struck and dragged by a vehicle while attempting to stopYoung from getting into a waiting car.

Carrel, 26, remained in Grant Medical Center on Thursday.

Police said they found the Mercedes involved in the crash at a home on Chambersburg Road onthe south side early on Thursday morning.

Investigators executed a search warrant on their mother's home, where they said they foundthe hard drive that was allegedly stolen from the Walmart.
