The Columbus Zoo and Aquarium posted that 17-year-old koala Moondani passed away earlier this week.
The zoo said the animal died of old age. The median life expectancy for male koalas is just 10 years.
“The animal care team says he always enjoyed a good back scratch and would shake his leg in delight!”
Moondani came to the Columbus Zoo in 2004.
“Moondani will be greatly missed.”
It is with a heavy heart that we say goodbye to Moondani, the koala. He passed away earlier this week due to old age....
