Mission Archery is recalling several models of its crossbows after reports that the weapon could fire unexpectedly, without the trigger being pulled.  No injuries from the malfunctions have been reported thus far.

The recall impacts models MXB 320, MXB Dagger, MXB 400 and MXB 360; and serial numbers ranging from XB04879 to XB16555.  The crossbows were sold in black, lost camo AT, white camo and pink camo pattern.

They were sold at archery and hunting sporting goods stores nationwide from May 2013 through April 2014 for between $600 and $1,300.

Consumers are asked to immediately stop using the recalled crossbows and return them to a Mission Archery authorized dealer for a free repair, or contact Mission Archery for instructions on shipping the product directly to them for a free repair, including shipping.

Mission Archery equipment is sold at 10 sporting goods stores across central Ohio.  For a map of those locations, click here
