These kids may not be old enough to vote, but they're still using their voices

ARLINGTON, Va. — Election Day is here! Millions are expect to cast their ballots for the next president and vice president on Tuesday, but we are getting uplifted by some young people who aren't old enough to do that just yet. They helped spread election reminders with crayons.

The 5-year-old student at Little Ambassadors' Academy in Arlington created signs encouraging people to hit the polls. One of the signs says "Voting is cool," in rainbow colors. Another says simply, "Can you please vote?"

We talked to their teacher who shared that he wanted his students to make the signs so that they understand the importance of voting. As you can see, the little ones understood the assignment.

After the young Picassos finished creating their artwork, they stood outside along Langston Boulevard with their signs, reminding drivers — and hopefully you — to get out and vote.
