You've tried Dom's famous meatball recipe and his delicious pizza, now check out his mouth-watering pot roast chili.
Ingredients
1 1/2 tablespoon oil
1 medium sweet yellow onion, diced
1 ½ tablespoon chopped garlic
2 medium cans crushed tomatoes
1 15 oz can of diced tomatoes
1 15 oz. can tomato sauce
1 large jalapeno pepper seeds, removed and chopped
1 1/2 to 2 pounds shredded cooked Pot Roast
1 small black beans, drained
1 small can chili beans
2 1/2 tablespoons chili powder
1 tablespoon paprika
1 medium red pepper chopped
1 cup water
Salt and pepper
Directions
Roast chuck roast until cooked. Once cooked, shred beef.
In a large pan heat and add oil.
Add diced onion, garlic and peppers both green and Jalapeno and saute for about 3 to 5 minutes.
Add all tomatoes.
Add cooked pot roast, beans, chili powder and paprika and 1 cup of water.
This will make a thick chili. Add more water to for less thick.
Add salt and pepper to taste.
Stir well and bring to a boil. Lower heat and let simmer on low for about 1 1/2 hours. Stir frequently.
Serving
Serve hot topped with mild cheddar cheese or taco cheese. Add hot sauce for more heat.
