Brittany’s Bites: Quick energy bars

For those on the move this summer, Brittany has a quick, healthy snack for you.

Ingredients:

¾ cup firmly packed brown sugar

½ cup honey

1 ½ cups peanut butter

5 cups whole-grain cereal

6 oz. or more chopped dried fruit

Directions:

Combine honey and brown sugar in a large saucepan. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly.

Remove from heat. Stir in peanut butter until smooth. Stir in cereal. Stir in fruit bits.

Spread into a greased 12x8 pan.

Let cool.

Cut into bars.
