COLUMBUS, Ohio — With December just around the corner, the New Albany Symphony Orchestra is planning on bringing a very special guest to its holiday concerts.
The orchestra will be joined by Santa Claus on Dec. 17 at 3 p.m. at the McCoy Center for the Arts for its "Holiday Spectacular." Accompanying that concert on Dec. 16 at 11:30 a.m. will be a shorter, sensory-friendly experience where the house lights will stay up and folks will have the chance to meet therapy dog Maddie.
The New Albany Symphony Orchestra’s 2023-24 season is in full swing and tickets are now available for all remaining performances.
In March, the orchestra will take the stage of the McCoy Center with “Take Flight!” - a concert narrated by 10TV's Angela An that will tell the high-flying tale of Ohio’s own Orville and Wilbur Wright.
Rounding out the season will be the showcase concert featuring Grammy-award winning saxophonist Branford Marsalis in April.
"Music is a wonderful connector," said founder and executive director Heather Garner. "I love bringing people together on concert day. It's a wonderful environment; it's a great atmosphere. I just love how these concerts have become part of the fabric of the New Albany community."
Dates, times and ticket information for all three remaining shows this season can be found on their website: https://newalbanysymphony.com/.
