Ohio-born musical, Label-less Musical, coming to Columbus stage Friday night

Label•less Musical evolved from a theater class in Cincinnati five years ago using real life stories.

COLUMBUS, Ohio — Label•less Musical arrives in Columbus Friday evening. The performance highlights the struggles people are going through by using music and dance to start conversations about race, sexuality and mental health.

Label•less Musical evolved from a theater class in Cincinnati five-years ago using real life stories.

“Those stories, which are true stories are very, very heartfelt and moving and sometimes funny,” said 98 Degrees singer Drew Lachey and co-founder of Lachey Arts. “You'll laugh, you'll cry, you'll dance.”

Lachey’s wife and choreographer Lea Lachey has taken the messages to stages across the country.

“I think they are a true testament of what the world can be, to see them and to see how much they support each other is such a beautiful thing,” said Lea. “To create art that moves people. There's nothing like it.”

Label•less Musical is in Columbus Nov. 3 at The Speaker Jo Ann Davidson Theater at 7:30 p.m. If you follow the Label•less Musical on social media, the first 25 people will receive a pair of tickets for free.

The Lacheys are hoping they can take this from off-Broadway to "The Great White Way" in the future. The duo also plan on holding a workshop with Columbus City School students at Arts Impact Middle School Friday afternoon.
