COLUMBUS, Ohio — Thousands of runners, walkers and spectators will soon gather in downtown Columbus for the 2024 OhioHealth Capital City Half & Quarter Marathon.
The race takes place on April 27 at 8 a.m. and will offer three different challenges for participants: the OhioHealth Capital City Half Marathon, the OhioHealth Quarter Marathon and the Columbus Promise 5K.
More than 12,000 runners and walkers come to the city each year for the event and it has an estimated annual economic impact of about $7.5 million.

Packet pick up for the OhioHealth Capital City Half & Quarter Marathon
The OhioHealth Expotique & Panera Bread Rapid Packet Pick Up will be held from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. on April 25 and April 26 at The Vue Columbus, located at 95 Liberty St.
Parking
While there are plenty of parking options in downtown Columbus on the day of the race, event organizers said the preferred parking is at the Columbus Commons garage. Parking at the garage will cost $10 on the day of the event.

Race day
The half marathon and quarter marathon on Saturday, April 27 begins at 8 a.m. and the Columbus Promise 5K begins at 8:30 a.m. All events will begin at the corner of South High and West Town streets, adjacent to the Columbus Commons.

Once runners cross the finish line, they will be celebrated at the Giant Eagle Curbside Express Recovery Zone where they will receive their Official Finisher's Medal and food and water to refuel.
There will also be a Byers Xtra Mile Finish Line Party from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the John F. Wolfe Columbus Commons.

Road closures
Event organizers will be setting up downtown on April 28 and April 29 with the following road closures from Friday, April 26 at 5 p.m. to Saturday, April 27 at 2 p.m.:
- High Street from Broad Street to Main Street
- W. Town Street from W. Front Street to S. High Street.
- E. Town Street from S. Third St. to Damian Street.
- E. Rich Street from S. Wall Street to S. Third Street.
On the day of the race, there will be “rolling” road closures that will affect streets throughout the city from 7:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m.
