COLUMBUS, Ohio — The summer season is almost here which means Franklin Park Conservatory and Botanical Gardens will soon start back up its annual farmers market.
The market begins on Wednesday, June 5, and will run from 3:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. It will take place every Wednesday with the final date on Sept. 11. The farmers market is located in the Wells Barn parking lot and is free and open to the public.
Local central Ohio vendors will sell a variety of products including fresh produce, specialty foods, handmade items, health products and more.
A rotating selection of food trucks will be onsite and local musicians will provide entertainment.
Kids can also participate in Veggie Champs, a weekly activity that rewards them with "Veggie Bucks" to spend on fruits and vegetables at the market. While participating, kids can learn about healthy eating and the power of making healthy choices.
Select dates at the farmers market will feature special promotions. Those dates include June 5, June 26 and August 7.
The Conservatory’s Farmers Market accepts EBT for all qualifying purchases and offers incentive dollars through the Produce Perks Columbus program for fresh produce for all EBT users. They also participate in the Senior Farmers Market Nutrition Program, WIC and Produce Perks Rx.
