COLUMBUS, Ohio — The Columbus Food Truck Festival is set to double the fun, with the festival taking over two different locations this summer.
After taking a brief hiatus from holding the festival in downtown Columbus, it's set to return along the Scioto Peninsula for two days on July 12 and 13 from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.
For the last three years, the festival took place at the Franklin County Fairgrounds in Hilliard and will return there for one day on Aug. 17 from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.
Admission to the downtown Columbus event is free but the Hilliard event will cost $5 per person during the presale and $10 on the day of the event. However, children aged 12 and under are free with an adult who is at least 18 years old.
The Columbus Food Truck Festival is celebrating its 13th year and will feature food vendors from around the region, as well as live music on two different stages.
"The return to downtown Columbus and the continuation of our presence in Hilliard are testaments to the resilience and adaptability of our festival. We are deeply thankful for the support we've received and we are excited to continue the tradition of bringing together the best food trucks, live music and a community-driven atmosphere," said the festival's Co-Founder and Co-Organizer Mike Gallicchio.
One of the festival's essential components is to help build awareness and support for local non-profit organizations that serve the central Ohio community. Since the festival’s inception in 2010, over $97,000 has been donated to local charitable organizations.
The Junto Hotel will be offering special room rates in conjunction with the festival and details will be posted on the Columbus Food Truck Festival website soon.
