COLUMBUS, Ohio — Columbus Air Show organizers announced Tuesday that the U.S. Navy Blue Angels will headline next year's show.
The Blue Angels fly F/A-18 Super Hornets in formations as close as 18 inches apart and at speeds up to 700 mph. The group previously headlined the Columbus Air Show in 2023.
According to a release, the Blue Angels will have their C-130J Hercules transport aircraft, known as “Fat Albert,” providing demonstrations at the show as well.
The 2025 show will take place Aug. 22-24 at Rickenbacker International Airport. This date is a change from the last two years when it was held during Father’s Day weekend.
Tickets will go on sale Aug. 27, 2024 at 8 a.m.
“We are so excited to announce the return of the Blue Angels to Columbus,” said Herb Gillen, president of Herb Gillen Airshows, producers of the event. “Their appearance here in 2023 delighted our guests and we are thrilled that the Blues selected Columbus for a return in 2025.”
