Country-themed Cirque du Soleil show coming to Columbus in December

COLUMBUS, Ohio — Cirque du Soleil will make a stop in Columbus later this year for its first-ever country-themed show.

"Songblazers" is a theatrical production that pays tribute to the trailblazers of country music. The show follows the journey of its two main characters as they forge their own path into country music stardom.

Audiences will experience acrobatics, aerial acts, a variety of well-known country songs and an original song written by Sam Williams, the grandson of country pioneer Hank Williams.

The show will be at the Wexner Center for the Arts' Mershon Auditorium from Dec. 11-15. Find the show times below:

  • Wednesday, Dec. 11 at 7:30 p.m.
  • Thursday, Dec. 12 at 7:30 p.m.
  • Friday, Dec. 13 at 7:30 p.m.
  • Saturday, Dec. 14 at 12 p.m., 3:30 p.m. and 7 p.m.
  • Sunday, Dec. 15 at 2 p.m. and 6 p.m.

This will mark the 17th time that Cirque du Soleil has visited Columbus.

Tickets go on sale June 25 on Ticketmaster.
