She traveled up to Ohio after five (warm) years in her home state of Florida.

Most recently, Rochelle worked as an in-depth reporter for WFTS in Tampa, FL. Before that, she was a reporter/fill-in anchor at WFTX in Fort Myers, FL.

She graduated from the University of Florida in May 2015 (Go Gators!) with a Bachelor of Science in Broadcast Journalism and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science, specializing in international relations.

Rochelle got her big break while in school, where she landed a part-time reporter gig at the local CBS affiliate, GTN News. During that time, she also juggled reporting, anchoring, and producing positions for two UF-run stations and maintained summer internships with CNN and NBC 6 News in South Florida.

While at UF she served as a member of several journalism organizations and led the UF Chapter of the National Association of Black Journalists (UF NABJ) as its President.

After graduation, Rochelle moved to Waco, TX, and worked as a reporter, producer, and weekend anchor at KXXV News.

A year later she traded cowboy boots and breakfast tacos for chicken wings and sponge candy and made the move to Buffalo, NY to join the Spectrum News team as a reporter.

When she is not on-air Rochelle enjoys spending time with her family, friends and yappy schnauzer named Sadie. She also loves cooking, reading, hiking, and Zumba.
