COLUMBUS, Ohio — Nicole Shearin joined the 10TV team in July 2024 as a sports reporter and anchor after two years in Waco, Texas, covering all things Baylor athletics and spending her Friday nights under the lights in Central Texas. Yes, it's just like the TV show!

Follow Nicole:

Nicole earned her Master's in Broadcasting from the University of Southern California and her undergraduate degree in Journalism with an emphasis in sports broadcasting in 2020 from the University of Georgia. A diehard Dawg fan, you could always find her on a football Saturday “Between the Hedges” at Sanford Stadium. Of course, in 2022 she was in the house at Lucas Oil Stadium to witness the Dawgs take down the Tide for a National Championship, and then was part of seeing that moment again when the Dawgs went back-to-back in her LA hometown.

Born and raised in Manhattan Beach, Calif., Nicole grew up playing every sport you could think of. Volleyball, basketball, softball, you name it. She was the son her dad never had!

When Nicole is not working, you can find her trying the hottest new restaurant in town, exploring a fun workout class, or seeking a shot of adrenaline: bungee jumping, skydiving, cliff jumping or something new she hasn’t tried yet. She's thinking heliskiing is next.

Nicole is also a big-time coffee connoisseur. She's always looking for the next best sip in the city! She will gladly take any recs in Ohio and will most likely be spotted around town searching them out on her own.

Above all else, Nicole loves storytelling. One of her favorite stories she has ever told was the story of a father and son running-back duo in Lorena, Texas. The son broke his dad's rushing touchdown record in high school that his dad had set many years before, and his dad was there on the sideline to witness it all happen. That story ended up winning the Texas Broadcast News Awards "Best Sports Story" of the year. Nicole was also named the Best Sports Reporter and Best Sports Anchor in the Texas medium market category in 2024.

Since she was a little girl, Nicole has always dreamed of covering big-time college sports, so the move to Buckeye Country just felt right.

Nicole is looking forward to covering all the sports in the area and enjoying the fantastic city of Columbus.
