Wake Up CBUS meteorologist

COLUMBUS, Ohio — Dylan Robichaud moved to Columbus in May 2024 from Eugene, Oregon, where he spent the previous four years working at KEZI 9 News as Chief Meteorologist.

During his time there, he led his team of meteorologists through the devastating wildfires of 2020, as well as multiple ice storms. Prior to that, he worked at other stations in Madison, Wisconsin, as well as Monroe, Louisiana.

Originally from Massachusetts, Dylan's passion for meteorology started with experiencing several major nor'easters in the early 2000s. He remembers waking up to several feet of snow on the ground. He was always glued to the Weather Channel, watching meteorologists track the storm.

To him, weather represents some of the happiest childhood memories growing up, especially when there was enough snow to cancel school, meaning he could go sledding with his friends.

He earned his weathercaster Seal of Approval from the National Weather Association and holds bachelor's degrees in both journalism and meteorology. He has also won an Emmy and been nominated for Best Meteorologist in the Pacific Northwest in consecutive years.

In his free time, he is a big NBA fan and roots for the Boston Celtics. He's also taking guitar lessons to learn how to play the acoustic guitar. Dylan also enjoys 80s rock and country music, with his favorite artists being Bon Jovi and Kenny Chesney.

He said he is most excited to be in Columbus because we get all four seasons, and it reminds him of home!
